Twin Peaks - Climbs of Chiang Mai

While known for its delicious northern cuisine, and beautiful hikes that often lead to waterfalls – it is little known that Chiang Mai is also the home to the highest point in Thailand, Doi Inthanon.

Sitting at 2,565m above sea level, Doi Inthanon is a beast of a climb. The most brutal part of it all – unlike most big climbs, there isn’t a reward of a beautiful view at the top; just a temple and a signage. The actual climb is 46 km in total with 2200 meters of elevation gain.

Another challenge around Chiang Mai is Doi Suthep. The climb starts just 3 kilometres from the heart of the city peaking at 1,676m above sea level. Join our friends Em and Ploy as they take on both climbs in one day.
