Solo / group rides?

Small group rides are my ultimate favourite. Riding with a close circle of friends always lifts my spirits and brightens my day. During intense training sessions, they motivate me to exceed my limits, while on more relaxed days, we enjoy cycling together and sharing stories.

When did you know that you were good at riding your bike?

Sometimes I doubt if I'm any good, but I'm seeing progress thanks to sticking to my training routine. I'm basically hooked on cycling, not stressing about how good I am at it.

What has been the hardest obstacle you’ve overcome on the bike?

Some days, I just don't have the urge to push myself on the bike. And honestly, there are times when I struggle to even get out of bed and head outside for a ride. I tend to get bored easily, so when the rides start feeling repetitive, my motivation takes a hit. Luckily, I've got some friends who are super supportive and make the rides enjoyable. They're the ones who keep me going, especially on those 'lazy days’.

What do you always bring on a ride no matter the location or season?

I always keep three hair ties on my wrist: one for myself and two for other female riders in need. In my experience, there’s always someone who needs them! So, I need to top up my wrist with new hair ties. Also my left wrist is always occupied by my Garmin watch that monitor my daily training and resting status.

What’s next?

I’m excited to do a Girls’ day out ride with some girls in Bandung in the near future. Also, if everything falls into place, I plan to participate in another ultra-cycling race, the Transiberica. Hopefully, I'll wrap up the year by tackling the Taiwan KOM. Looking further ahead, my dream is to travel the world with my bike. Oh and maybe win a race or two :)
